The 3-layer construction blocks out the wind and the wet and won't snag on branches or hook-and-loop tabs, yet it bends to our whim for unrestricted climbing and shredding and lets our microclimate breathe easy to keep the sweat to a minimum. When we're really testing our grit, we open the inner-thigh zips to boost airflow, and we stash our beanie and shell mitts in the bib pockets. And whenever nature calls, the waist's side zippers let us answer the call without having to ditch our jacket.
